Deadline for filing EEO-1 Workforce Data Extended through May
The Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission has
announced that employers will have a two-month extension of the
deadline to submit their EEO-1 workforce data report for 2018.
The annual deadline is usually
March 31, but in a press release on February 1, 2019, the EEOC stated, “Due to the partial lapse in appropriations,
the opening of the EEO-1 has been postponed until early March 2019. The
deadline to submit EEO-1 data will be extended until May 31, 2019.”

EEO-1 reports include information
about the race, ethnicity, and sex of employees, broken down by job category. The
survey is intended to create workplace opportunities by enforcing federal
